December 3rd- Book Fair Family Night 5:30pm-7:30pm in Savannah Library
December 3rd- Performances in Cafe:
5:10 -- Choir
5:35 -- Cheer
5:50 -- Kinder
6:30 -- 1st Grade
December 6th- Choir Performs at Denton Tree Lighting (Time TBD)
December 12th- Hot Chocolate with PTA 5:00 in Savannah Cafe
December 18th and 19th- Student Half Days (Elementary Dismisses at 12:00)
December 18th and 19th- Class Winter Parties (Times for each grade level TBD)

The Fall Book Fair will be December 1st-5th, the week we return from break. Your student should be coming home with the preview flyer and parent letter following their Library day this week.
The Library website contains all the information you may need about Book Fair. Here are the highlights:
📙Open December 1st-5th during school hours
📘Students official shopping day will be on their Library day
📗Individual shoppers needing to come on an alternative day may be sent at an appropriate time by their classroom teacher
📙Family Shopping Night is Wednesday, December 3rd from 5:30pm-7:30pm
📘Parents are also welcome to visit the fair with their students if they are here at an alternate time such as visiting for lunch
📗We run a CoinLESS fair which means we do not have coins to give back as change
📙Purchases that are rounded up the next dollar for Share the Fair benefit our school and students receive a raffle ticket for a prize drawing
📘Most methods of payment are accepted, but our favorite and the easiest is setting up an eWallet - just follow the link on the book fair webpage

Denton ISD values parent/guardian partnership in learning. We support parents/guardians as the primary educators of their children. As a parent/guardian, you have the right to preview all education material. If you would like to request that your child NOT attend one of the above presentations, please contact Jenn Runion (School Counselor) at jrunion@dentonisd.org.

A NOTE ON BIRTHDAYS:
We are happy to celebrate your child's birthday at school. We allow parents to send birthday trinkets for their child's class if they want, however, WE DO NOT ALLOW BIRTHDAY TREATS or FOODS. Cupcakes/cake/candy etc. compete with healthy meals and snacks and may affect students with food allergies. We will not serve them.
Special Areas rotations will shift beginning October 15th for the 2nd Nine Weeks.
Be sure to know what day your Gators have P.E. and when they need their Library books! (Though Mrs. Holt recommends they have their books at school EVERY day!)
We are needing donations of every day items you have at home! Items can be sent in any time from now until MARCH!
