Parents THANK YOU for supporting our school's Boosterthon Fun Run. We crushed our original goal and made over $20,000 for our school. And what an amazing day we had last Friday! We want to especially thank our phenomenal Savannah Specials Team for a heroic effort hosting our Boosterthon. To Mr. Archbold, Ms. Spinks, Ms. Smith, Ms. Anderson, and the queen of the Boosterthon--Ms. Holt: you all truly are the heartbeat of our school. Thank you for your hard work making this event happen.

Dear Savannah Elementary Families,
We are excited to celebrate our Teacher of the Year and Paraprofessional of the Year! To help show your support and school spirit, we are offering commemorative T-shirts for purchase.
All shirts that are ordered will be delivered directly to your child’s classroom for convenience. Please click on the link to purchase
Our Teacher of the Year Parade will take place on April 23rd, and we would love to see our students and families wearing their shirts to school that day to help celebrate these incredible educators who make a difference every day. The last day to purchase is April 10th. All shirts will be delivered by April 20th.
Thank you for helping us honor and support our amazing staff.
5th Grade Families:
Exciting changes are coming! As our 5th graders prepare for Cheek or Navo Middle School, I've gathered everything you need in one place. Explore key dates, course info, and helpful resources in the SMORE ➡️
If you have any questions about this, please reach out to me!
If you have questions or would like to meet with me, please don’t hesitate to reach out. My email is jrunion@dentonisd.org or there is more information on the SES Counselor's website
Thank you for allowing me to partner with you to support your child’s academic and emotional success!
Denton ISD values parent/guardian partnership in learning. We support parents/guardians as the primary educators of their children. As a parent/guardian, you have the right to preview all education material. If you would like to request that your child NOT attend one of the above presentations, please contact Jenn Runion (School Counselor) at jrunion@dentonisd.org.
Special Areas rotations will shift beginning January 6th for the 3rd Nine Weeks.
Be sure to know what day your Gators have P.E. and when they need their Library books! (Though Mrs. Holt recommends they have their books at school EVERY day!)
We are needing donations of every day items you have at home! Items can be sent in any time from now until MARCH!
A NOTE ON BIRTHDAYS:
We are happy to celebrate your child's birthday at school. We allow parents to send birthday trinkets for their child's class if they want, however, WE DO NOT ALLOW BIRTHDAY TREATS or FOODS. Cupcakes/cake/candy etc. compete with healthy meals and snacks and may affect students with food allergies. We will not serve them.
Don't Forget to Sign Up:
Our goal is for 100% of Savannah families to complete the application—even if you think you won’t qualify. Why? Because the more families who apply, the better chance we have of qualifying for free meals for all students during the 2025–2026 school year! Don't forget you must reapply each year!
Apply here or using the button below.
It will prompt you to sign up for a SchoolCafe account first (or sign in if you already have an account from last year), then you click on the benefits link within.
