Since the advent of the digital version of the SAT in 2024, both math sections permit the use of a calculator. In particular, you will find a test version of Demos embedded within the Bluebook Digital Testing app. This test version of Demos looks a bit like the phone app and has nearly the same functionality as the full version, only preventing users from inserting folders, notes, and images.
The purpose of this activity is to provide you with an opportunity to level up your Desmos skills. This week focuses on Intermediate skills, like using tables, function evaluation, and basic statistics. Again, the idea here is to allow Desmos to more or less enable cheat codes for your actual examination of the PSAT and SAT.
Click on the image on the right to open the Desmos_Intermediate template.
Click on the blue button Save Copy.
When prompted, choose Continue with Google. Log in with your school Gmail account.
Click on the arrow to expand the folder labeled "9. Insert a table".
Follow the task instructions by typing your input in the box provided. If you need more boxes in the expression list, just hit enter within a box, and Desmos should populate an extra box below your cursor.
When you have completed the ninth task, click the arrow to collapse the 9. Insert a table folder. Click on the folder icon to hide its contents.
Repeat this process for the remaining tasks and be sure to save your work by clicking the blue Save button.
When you have finished your grind, click the Share Graph button in the top right corner. Click the "Share Your Saved Graph" link and choose Copy.
Navigate to the SAT 22: Week 2 assignment in Google Classroom. Choose "+ Add or create" and click "Link". Paste your weblink from Desmos then click "Turn in".
