Believe it or not, this question can be answered without Desmos, using a bit of Algebra 1 knowledge. Specifically, in this video I will show you how to Complete The Square, an algebraic technique which will transform a quadratic into a perfect square trinomial. Then I will remind you about a part of the quadratic formula, called the Discriminant, which will likewise reveal when a quadratic has no real solutions. Duration: 16:25
