Research reports

In a Research Report the writer presents clearly and understandably his or her analysis of a global issue based on research using multiple sources of information. These sources can include, for example, conversation-discussions and interviews with “close others” (for example, other students, high-school friends, family members, your co-workers in your part-time job, people in local communities, or local networks that you belong to) that the writer has had part of their project.  The writer brings together their analysis from these multiple sources, often including different voices and perspectives, presenting background information, identifying a specific problem, and proposing solution(s) to that problem. The writer may also evaluate what different actors and organizations need to do to resolve the problem. At the end of a Research Report the writer provides a list of References (or information sources) that he or she has used in the report. Examples of this genre created by students are shown below.

研究レポートでは、書き手は、多数の情報源を利用した研究に基づいてグローバルな問題に対する自分なりの分析を明確かつわかりやすく示します。ここで言う情報源には、話やディスカッション、身近な他者（大学や高校時代の友人、家族、アルバイト先の同僚、住んでいる地域の知り合いやコミュニティの人たちなど）のインタビューなどを含む様々なものが含まれるでしょう。書き手は、これらの多数の情報源を基に、それぞれの異なる主張や価値観を整理、分析したり、背景について調べ、または特定の問題を見出し、その問題に対する解決策を提示します。レポートの終わりには、書き手がレポート作成に使用した参考文献（または情報源）を明示することが求められます。これまでの受講生が作成したものの例は以下にあります。
