Conversation-Discussions & Interviews

When you do a project, it can be very helpful to talk with “close others” (for example, other students, high-school friends, family members, your co-workers in your part-time job, people in local communities, or local networks that you belong to). You can share personal experiences and stories, and express your views and opinions to each other about the global issue that you are exploring. You can also discuss how you see different local impacts, connections, and activities to do with the global issue. 

         You can write about these interactions as a “conversation-discussion” in which you summarise the discussion, or as an “interview” - common in newspapers and magazines - where the writer acts as the interviewer and asks questions to the interviewee about their experiences, thinking, and perspectives on a particular global issue.  Examples that students created of this genre are shown below.

プロジェクトに取り組む際に、身近な他者(大学や高校時代の友人、家族、アルバイト先の同僚、住んでいる地域の知り合いやコミュニティの人たちなど)と話すことは、良い助けとなります。取り組んでいるグローバルな課題についての視点や意見、または書き手自身の経験や語りを共有することもできるでしょう。加えて、グローバルな課題が、地域コミュニティや活動に及ぼす影響について議論することも良い経験になるはずです。このような身近な他者とのやり取りについて、議論やインタビュー(新聞や雑誌でよく取り入れられる手法で、書き手が質問者として、聞き手の経験や思考、視点などを尋ねます)をまとめる形で、会話と議論/conversation-discussionのジャンルでは書くことができます。のインタビューなどが含まれます。これまでの受講生が以前に作成したものの例は、以下にあります。
