BFA's Students in Action...
Course-work sections are organized by the five Transferable Skills students work on in their classes. These skills are highlighted in our Portrait of a Graduate and build students' capacity for career and college readiness.

Clear and Effective Communication
Students can demonstrate organized and purposeful communication.
Students can gather information from actively speaking, listening, and participating in class.
Explorers compete in a Bracket Challenge in Revolutions (World History 1450-1900).
Student leaders speak to the school about clubs and co-curricular activities

Hiram Bellows Day of Service
On our early release day in September, high school students participated in our annual Hiram Bellows Day of Community Service. This day honors the legacy of Hiram Bellows the original benefactor for our Bellows Free Academy! The pictures below are from some of the community service activities students participated in.

VSAC Financial Aid Forms Night at BFA

Students and families, take this opportunity to get support from the experts at VSAC on completing FAFSA and Vermont Grant applications. If possible, create Student & Parent FSA IDs before Forms Night (it takes a few days for FAFSA to process these).
