Clear and Effective Communication
Students can demonstrate organized and purposeful communication.

The French 3 class plays "bear, fish, mosquito" aka "rock, paper, scissors" but in the French language, of course.
Botany students presented their Maple Sugaring Companies and ecological sustainability plans to Dr. Noonan.
Spanish 3 students work on a Quien Eres (Who are you) assignment.
Ninth grade ELA 2 students are diligently working on research essays.

Financial Literacy students explore car loan options.

Students apply knowledge from multiple sources to make sense of their learning.
Students apply prior knowledge to the current task.
AP US Government and Politics students particiapte in a mock court trail.
Work Based Study students discuss the characteristics of leaders and strong bosses.
Students in Heredity and Genetics class play "spoons" as a way to practice cell types.
Ecology and Evolution students collected and measured their food waste and trash to better understand sustainability and global impact.
Responsible and Involved Citizenship
Students take responsibility for their actions and understand their impact on the community.

Criminal Justice students work on team building skills before beginning a collaborative project based unit.
Second generation survivor, Miriam Rosenbloom, is a guest speaker in the Holocaust Studies course.
Junior Maggie Short shares information about responding to overdoses with the BFA community at the Family Night Out event.

Early College Applications are open, May 1st is the priority deadline.
If you have not already, please remember to schedule a meeting with your school counselor to discuss courses for senior year as well as post-high school plans.
