March Staff and Students to Celebrate!
These students and staff were recognized for their excellence at our March Community Meeting.
Summer, Kaelynn, Sam, Cordelia, and Mr. Gaudette present at the Online and Blended Learning Conference in Colchester on March 14th.
On March 20, Peyton, Ella, Mr. Tague, and Dr. Welch presented about BFA's proficiency based systems and our PLP process at the League of Innovative Schools Spring Convening in New York City. The presentation went really well, and they even got to take in some NYC sights, including seeing Aladdin on Broadway.

Two teams, consisting of 8 students, took part in this year’s International M3 Math Modeling Challenge in the beginning of March. They spent 14 hours modeling and predicting homelessness data in order to find solutions for the current problem.
Congratulations to Burlington Tech Students Kagan Whiteman and Kaelynn Sandvil for earning awards at the HOSA- Future Health Professionals State Competition. Kagan earned a Gold Medal for Pathophysiology and Kaelynn won silver for Individual Nurse Assisting. Both will compete in Houston this summer!

Pops Concert!
The high school music department showcased their amazing talents with the Pops Concert! The theme, Fairfax on the Screen, highlighted songs such as Family Guy theme song, The Muppet Show Theme, I've Had the Time of My Life, and Bellas Finals from Pitch Perfect. It was a great night!

Whitney writes a compare and contrast essay for her AP Language course. The essay compares two articles written about the future of high school education.

Students in Mr. Heald's Native American History class read picture books to elementary students. They used this opportunity to get to know each other. Later this spring the high school students will teach some history lessons to the elementary students.
