Madame Torraca and our students in French classes hosted students from the Fenelon School in La Rochelle, France for a week in April. They visited the State House in Montpelier, got a tour of a sugarhouse, attended classes with their BFA hosts, and participated in American life.

Spanish Foundations 3 class solve a mysterious theft at a Spanish art museum via a Breakout Box. Students had to solve clues and determine the codes to unlock locks that opened up a box with a prize for the winning team. In the process, they saw and learned about several famous pieces of hispanic art
Math 2 students use whiteboards to practice factoring quadratics.
Students use portable, homemade recording "studios" to record a podcast for their Criminal Justice course.
The Botany class is testing a self-watering system for radish seeds.
Informed and Integrative Thinking
Students apply knowledge from multiple sources to make sense of their learning.
Students apply prior knowledge to the current task.
Students review sources to analyze the question: How did propaganda change people's opinion of WW1.
Botany students collected specimens from trees on campus to learn how to identify plans and make their own personal herbarium.
Foundations of ELA presentation skills practice requires calm, voice, content, and visuals.
Students are back to work on Financial Literacy after their classroom was moved to one of the new basement rooms in the new wing.
Responsible and Involved Citizenship
Students take responsibility for their actions and understand their impact on the community.

Work Based Learning Seminar students visited Agilent Technologies in Winooski. They learned about Agilent's products, toured the facility to learn about the assembly area and the machine shop, and talked about job opportunities after graduation. The class was hosted by Jamie Boutin, Agilent employee and Fairfax community member. Thank you Jamie for a great tour!
