n an age where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming how we live and learn, students must be equipped not only to use these tools responsibly but to understand their impact on the human experience. However, true education reaches beyond screens and algorithms. This brief presentation draws on Jonathan Haidt’s latest work, The Anxious Generation, to advocate for a renewed emphasis on helping students reconnect with the physical and spiritual world. Whether through the simple act of touching real objects or sitting silently in nature, these practices cultivate awe, presence, and emotional resilience. To become fully human, students must engage with more than just information—they must be invited into experiences that elevate their inner lives and foster genuine connection. Only then will they understand the true benefit and power of AI and digital tools.
