Session B D305 : E.T.H.I.C.S. of AI
By the end of this session, participants will have critically explored how generative AI tools can either support or hinder students’ learning, critical thinking, and self-expression. They will leave with a deeper understanding of the ethical considerations around AI use in language education and practical strategies to promote responsible, authentic engagement with AI in the classroom.
Esra Çelik Soydan has been teaching English at tertiary level for 17 years and has been working as the coordinator of Teaching and Learning Development Unit at Özyeğin University – School of Languages for the past 5 years. She received her BA and MA degrees in English Teacher Education from Bilkent University and is currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Educational Sciences in Bilkent University. She also holds Cambridge ICELT and DELTA diploma; and is a CELTA trainer.
