Attention all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. During February and April of 2026 the school through EF Tours is hosting two trips during the breaks. An informational meeting was held on Monday, December 16th, and a copy of the slideshow from the meeting can be found here for more details which includes pricing, enrollment, and specific dates for each trip.
During February, you will have the opportunity to go to Japan for 9 days. Ms. Baima and Ms. Rosborough will lead the trip, consisting of many activities. Some of these are touring Tokyo, going on a bullet train, and touring Hiroshima,
“Students can expect to immerse themselves in the Japanese culture. They will eat traditional Japanese food, participate in traditional Japanese events, and learn some of the history of Japan,” stated Ms. Baima when asked about what students can expect going into the trip.
The other trip will happen during April of 2026, when you will have the opportunity to go to
Hawaii for 8 days. This trip will be led by Ms. Curley and Ms. Balliro and some of the activities on this trip include visiting the USS Arizona memorial, participating in cultural activities, and visiting a black sand beach.
When asked what advice she would give to families on the fence about going on the trips, Ms. Balliro said“I would simply say it is ultimately your decision if this is an experience for your child you want to invest in.”
Overall booth trips are amazing opportunities and the choice of whether or not to go on them should be made after thoughtful deliberation with families.
