Memoirs of Franklin

The Student Memoir Project (SMP) is a student-centered, standards-based initiative to honor the experiences of our middle school students.

Before the 2018-2019 school year, Franklin Middle School at Hamilton Street Campus (HSC/left) was the district's only middle school for grades 7-8. Samson G. Smith (SGS/right) was the township's intermediate school for grades 5-6.

However, the district turned both into middle schools serving grades 6-8 in 2018, so these memoirs contain writing from students at both campuses.

Students wrote the inaugural memoirs during the Spring of 2020 - while at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
