Our Golden Welly Play Champions this half term!
🎉 Golden Welly Winners!
This half term, our Golden Welly superstars have shone bright at playtime—working together, cheering each other on, and showing brilliant teamwork and cooperation. You’ve shown the very best of yourselves and made our playground a happier place. Well done, champions! 🥇👢
Playtime at Foxhill is one big adventure! With OPAL Play, we’re building dens, creating games and helping our friends. Children are showing amazing resilience (trying again when it’s tricky), brilliant creativity (turning everyday things into play), and super teamwork (sharing, taking turns, and cheering each other on). Most of all, we’re having so much fun together!
As winter arrives and mud season begins, the adventures get splashier—and that’s part of the joy! To keep everyone comfy and ready to play in the adventure playground, please send children in with wellies and waterproof trousers. With the right gear, we can jump in puddles, explore, and keep the fun going—whatever the weather! ☔️🧣
Forest School
Hi everyone, my name is Lizzie from Bee Outdoors, forest school and outdoor learning. This half term we have been exploring with Year 3.
The children have enjoyed being wild and free outdoors in all weathers, leading their own learning, being creative with sticks and wool as well as safely taking part in more risky activities such as tool use, fire lighting and hammocks.
The children’s smiles and enthusiasm for nature and the outdoors has been such a joy to see. Staff have noticed how the sessions have helped build children’s resilience, with many children expressing their want to “stay at forest school forever!”
Thank you to all the staff and children at Foxhill for welcoming me to your school and making me feel part of the team. I’m excited for our future sessions and seeing what we get up to next!
