We have had a fantastic first half term in Nursery, all the children have settled in so well.
Outdoor play
We have enjoyed exploring our outdoor areas this term, playing in the den and adventure playground too!
In literacy, our key texts have been Favourite Nursery Rhymes, You Choose Fairytales, Home is Where the Birds Sing and The Suitcase.
We learnt 5 currant buns and designed our own cakes and played in our bakers shop. We have made our own fairytales, thought about what a home is and filled our own suitcase.
This half term in Maths, we have started to look at shape, patterns and numbers. We have learnt lots of Nursery Rhymes to practice our counting!
We have used a range of resources to practice our counting.
In Understanding the world we started off by looking at old and new bakeries after reading Favourite Nursery Rhymes. We looked at pictures of our local bakery Marshall's and compared then and now pictures. We have also explored all things autumn. We have looked at conkers, pinecones and autumn leaves. We have also been learning the months of the year and days of the week!
In SCARF, we have been looking at what is special about us and our families. We have learnt that everybody's family is different! We also celebrated World Mental Health Day and Diwali!
We hope you all have a lovely half term and we will see you after the holidays.
