Dear Foxhill Families,
What a fabulous half term it’s been here at Foxhill. Alongside the hard work happening in every classroom, I’ve loved seeing our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) and Forest School journey flourish. Our children are rising to a challenging, knowledge-rich curriculum, grappling with new concepts, pushing themselves in reading, writing and maths, and taking real pride in their progress and then carrying that same curiosity and confidence into play. Out on the playground, I see teamwork, creativity and leadership in action: inventive den-building, inclusive games, and those everyday moments of kindness where pupils look out for one another. The balance of stretch in lessons and freedom in play is helping our children grow into resilient, thoughtful and joyful learners... I couldn’t be prouder.
As we look ahead to the next half term, we’ll keep strengthening that balance - high expectations in class, rich outdoor opportunities and a school culture rooted in respect and kindness. With the sparkle of Christmas on the horizon, there’s so much to look forward to: new learning adventures, more purposeful play and plenty of chances for every child to shine. Thank you to our hardworking children, our dedicated staff and our wonderfully supportive families. Together, we’re making Foxhill a place where children thrive - in their studies, in their play and in the way they care for each other.
Have a wonderful, family centred half term.
Warmest regards,
Sarah Thomason
