Learning Coach Form Explanation
Full-Time schools require the support of an adult to assist with tasks such as monitoring student progress and communicating with teachers. These responsibilities are typically handled by the student’s primary legal guardian. However, another adult in the household may also take on this role by completing the Learning Coach Form.
By submitting this form, you may designate an additional adult, besides the primary legal guardian, to serve as a Learning Coach.
Please note:
Completing this form does not grant the Learning Coach access to the FOCUS Parent Portal or to the student’s academic records and household information.
The Learning Coach does not have decision-making authority regarding the student’s educational records.
Learning Coaches are authorized to communicate with the student’s teachers about all aspects of the student’s participation in FLVS Full-Time Schools.
Students traveling outside the state of Florida for two (2) weeks or more must gain Principal approval before the dates of travel.
Students are expected to maintain satisfactory participation, attendance, and contact at a local number during school hours.
As required by the State of Florida, students must also participate in all required state testing; therefore, approval may be denied if students will not be present during their required testing window.
