Dear Secondary One students
I hope you have had an enjoyable time learning about AI, the use of AI for image generation, and the required prompts.
At this point in time, you'll find that your teachers will be making good use of iPad for your lessons on a very regular basis. It is time to therefore continue to learn more advanced applications of iPad use, on how to use various iWork applications. For these three weeks until Term 2 Week 6, we will be looking at Pages, Apple's equivalent of Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
(IMPORTANT!) Before the lesson:
Please ensure that the app Pages is installed on your iPad. If it is not available, please approach the ICT technical office at Level 3 of Block F for assistance.
We will be learning about:
Creating a new Page in Pages
Basic formatting options
Inserting media elements
How to share the Pages file with your group members using email
For your advanced notice, these are the plans for the next week:
Week 4 - Applying what you have learnt to record, create and post a video and audio recording on Pages
Week 5 - Complete the Pages assignment together with your group members and submit on Google Classroom
Instructions for students
As a group, the group leader is to download the Pages journal template from Google Classroom and lead the group to complete the required assignment. The assignment is scheduled to be completed within two weeks, during your DSP lessons. As such, for classes which will miss lessons due to the public holiday, and during HBL, you are to work independently as a group to complete the assignment in Week 4. Time is also available during lesson in Week 5 to discuss and catch up with the loss of time.
Refer to the instructions on the assignment document to complete it - All members of the group has a part to play in the completion and submission of the assignment.
