• Completing an Executive functioning skills (EFS) survey to allow the school to know you better as a learner

• Introduction to the students’ Google Drive (FHSS), the essential Cloud storage for files, for collaborative editing, and for seamless document sharing

• Proper setting up of various subject folders so as to facilitate your learning

Term 1 - Week 4 - 22 to 26 January 2024

• Setting up of groups and roles within your group

• Learning about basic Google apps (Google Mail, Google Calendar)

Term 1 - Week 5 to 6 - 29 January to 9 February 2024

• Introduction of Google Docs and basic navigations, a cloud-based word processing tool that allows students to create, edit, and collaborate on documents in real-time. It's accessible from any device, promoting seamless teamwork and sharing 

• Compulsory graded assignment

Term 1 - Week 7 to 8 - 12 to 23 February 2024

• Introduction of Google Slides and basic navigations, web-based presentation software that enables students to create, collaborate, and deliver dynamic slideshows. It's user-friendly, promotes teamwork, and allows easy sharing and presenting.

Term 1 - Week 9 to 10 - 26 February to 8 March 2024

• Learning about AI and ChatGPT, and the introduction to machine learning

• Learning about how to make use of ChatGPT to help in your learning and productivity

• Advanced application of AI through the use of AI to generate slides and/or infographics (e.g. Piktochart)

• AI - proper ethical use

Term 2 - Week 1 to 2 - 18 to 29 March 2024

• You begin their journey learning about the use of the PLD for learning by learning about the basic tools, functions and skills of using an iPad for the purposes of web browsing, email, multimedia consumption and creation, document creation, video conferencing, and app-based tasks for productivity, creativity, and entertainment 

Term 2 - Week 3 to 4 - 1 to 12 April 2024

• Learning about the new word processing tool Pages and how to make use of the different functions such as annotations, photo and video recording, and audio recording

• Compulsory graded assignment

Term 2 - Week 5 to 6 - 15 to 26 April 2024

• Learning about Keynote, a presentation software offering intuitive design tools, smooth animations, and collaborative features for creating visually impressive and engaging presentations

Term 2 - Week 7 to 8 - 29 April to 10 May 2024

• In these two weeks of elective lessons, you'll be learning about iMovie / Clips / Google Sites / Google Form. Choices will be given for your group to self-learn and complete a group assignment

Term 2 - Week 9 to 10 - 13 to 24 May 2024

• In the concluding two weeks of DSP, you'll consolidate your learning by going back to the theory behind the use of digital skills by learning about the New Media Literacy (NML). What is the NML?
