Informal evaluation was used to address this area. STUDENT has been absent only two days to date this school year. He is currently in 1st grade; he did attend kindergarten and has never been retained. Parents report that he lives with his natural parents and a sister. The primary language spoken at home is English. Both parents work and the family is supported by the parent’s salaries. The family does engage in outings together around the city like parks, ball games, and dinner. STUDENT likes to play with his sister and also likes video games. According to the information gathered, the culture, economic, and lifestyle experienced by STUDENT have provided him with opportunities and a positive environment to learn.
