Partnership and collaboration are key components for fostering growth and achieving great outcomes for learners and educators. This is especially evident among older kids from TLC who learn from their teachers, such as myself, and then extend their knowledge to the community or other schools, like Mary Todd, in order to teach younger students. This reciprocal learning process is highly beneficial for both older and younger students.
In April 2024, TLC students took the initiative to teach younger students at Mary Todd how to make JuMeokBap. The TLC students meticulously prepared a PowerPoint presentation for both written and verbal delivery. They excelled in providing clear, step-by-step instructions and worked in pairs to ensure understanding.
I am exceptionally proud of the teamwork displayed by both my TLC students and the students of Mary Todd. I extend my gratitude to Ms. Su, Korean teacher and Mr. Jones, the school principals, for their support and guidance throughout this enriching experience.
