The Lexington Eastside Public Library recently held a special event for K-POP enthusiasts.
The event was a collaborative effort involving Henry Clay High School, The Learning Center, Lexington Korean School, and Rise STEM Academy for Girls. It attracted many community members interested in learning Korean traditional games, trying on the Hot Spicy Noodle challenge, showing K-pop idol photo cards and bias, and K-pop dancing.
Many people enjoyed singing and dancing to their favorite K-pop songs. Fans brought their "bias" cards or merchandise to share with others. Highlights of the event included collectible photo cards, the BTS army bomb (a light stick that mimics the globe's pattern) symbolizing the group's increasing international popularity, and a dance lesson from community member Kiki Johnson. Attendees described the event as a truly memorable experience for everyone!
