Life is about balance and feeling well is the result of that work
Oxford dictionary defines wellness as "the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal." So wellness is like a goal to feel you best and healthiest self. Check out the picture bellow. If you imagine wellness as a wheel it's hard to roll through life if you are unbalanced in certain areas (the picture on the right). To work to be balanced (picture on the left) you can roll through life. To find balance your wellness routine might need healthy habits like exercise, chores, homework, social time, creative activities, etc.
If you are feeling unhealthy mentally or physically maybe there's something missing. Example, if you spend all your free time playing videogames by your self you might be missing exercise or social time with the people. You need to find balance because you have to much of one habit, the video games. By changing your habits to spend some of your free time walking and being social (time with friends, family, or in the community) it could help you feel balanced, whole, and healthy. Sometimes it's hard to figure out which part of your life that's feeling empty. using a wellness wheel can help you figure out what you need to add to feel whole and healthy again.
