Today, we did a lot today. The entire class traveled to this mall dedicated to this anime genre called “mecha”. That’s pretty much a bunch of shows about a intergalactic giant brawl between two humongous machines to the DEATH!!!!! Awesome!! And to represent this, the Japanese places this giant robot statue to represent the awesomeness of anime. But before we did that, we went to this holy-like place that people go to to pay respects to Gods, then they pray. Very intriguing and amazing. The architecture is dope and I want see more to appreciate more of what I see.

Today we went this magnificent building… a government building I think. The most interesting part was that apparently, in that building law decisions were made in that building. And that power radiates throughout the entire district of japan! I felt like the 1% that has the entire world in his palms. Looking down an endless horizon of the city. I’ve never seen so many buildings in one part before and i was impressed with the maintenance of the entire city. The people here are all nice and so beautiful. Their nice smiles and appreciation is always noted. The the food is always awesome to eat…. even though I’m taking a risk at my life all the time…. Peanut allergies...it’s still an awesome experience and everyone should go for it!!!!! Walking with everyone; Bennett, Carlon, Alex, and many more friends is such an awesome experience. I can’t wait till tomorrow

We woke up and packed to leave the hostel. The entire room was cool, a giant window that exposed the view of Tokyo, Japan for the last time as I left. When we first arrived there my friend Carlon tried his best to talk to Japanese people only to figure out that they’re all Korean. It was hilarious because it always happened to him and that would say “I don’t speak Japanese…. sorry.” When we all packed up and headed out the door, we headed to Yamagata(山形) and used the bullet train for travel, it took about 2 hours for the total travel time...but it flew by when I had friends and laughter. When we arrived to Yamagata, there was this massive transition from clear, cool weather, to giant white snow mountains and a white atmosphere. These Japanese people were ready to take our bags and we walked to our hotel. The entire village… it didn’t reek, but it had a strong smell. I observed this water system where water ran from the top, to the bottom of the mountain that we walked up on. In the brick roads there were these concrete pallets on the side and steam came through the cracks. The smell got stronger until we actually were notified that it was sulfur, then the smell was more tolerated. We entered and it was beautiful, i mean everything was amazing! The details of everything presented to us. The closest thing of reference I ever had of these things were anime, and they were spot on! The paper sliding walls are real!! And the people are so respectful. The food was so great in both quantity and quality. There was not ever a dish that was presented that wasn’t tasty. It’s amazing in everything aspect.

Today was a beautiful day. We woke up to a large breakfast. After that we had a whole 6 hours of free time to do whatever we wanted. So me, Carlon, Bennett, Jack, Josè, max and Dennis walked all around the village up and down. We were walking into the woods and farther up until we found inns and shops to rent snowboarding equipment; followed by and entire steep mountain with a lot of people skiing and a lot of ramen shops. We entered this one ramen shop and this old lady greeted us with such love and respect. She spoke to us in English, and we responded in Japanese throwing her completely off and ultimately impressing her. She gave us a lot of food and we all were satisfied. After that we headed back home and went in the hot springs for a couple of minutes before we actually started to cook from the water. We hopped out, and that’s when we suited up to hike up the mountains. Carlon didn’t bring a hoodie, and it was hilarious when we was in the cold like that. And bennett was terrified of the lift because it took us higher and higher off the ground. When we reached the top, we saw these beautiful trees covered in snow. And we actually got interviewed by this lady. WE WERE ON JAPANESE TELEVISION ON THEIR CHANNEL SIX!!! It was awesome and as the day ended we all crashed from exhaustion. Can’t wait for tomorrow
