Tokyo Day 2

Another day filled with adventure and merriment. We started the day with a healthy youth hostel breakfast and headed to Waseda University where we met with ETHS grad, Mitchell (Emma's older brother), who is studying there for the year. Following a campus tour, Sensei showed his true powers in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Building, which we then ascended in order to see Tokyo from above. Next we ate a leisurely lunch at Denny's before training to Ueno Park, where we saw a rare and beautiful display of winter peonies and Ueno Toshogu Shrine. Last was a journey to Asakusa for a short visit to Senso-ji (temple) and on to the Tokyo Sky Tree for a night view of the glittering Tokyo skyline. Dragging ourselves home, we got Mos Burger for takeaway to eat back at the Youth Hostel. Clocking in at 10 miles, today paled in comparison to yesterday's 15 miles - putting them together though, we walked nearly a marathon worth of Tokyo sights.
