Brendan So glad you are really enjoying the trip. It is great to read about your daily experience and see the pictures. As far as the meals, sounds like when I was in China, didn't really know what we were eating, but for the most part it was petty good. Have fun and take in all you can. Keep on writing. Love ya

As another grandma, I love the photos, daily reports, and the blogs! Thank you for setting this up! Hoping to read more and see more student photos. Martha Arntson

The amount of places you guys visit is amazing. I love the picture of group jumping in a circle. I am surprise you can still jump after walking 10 to 15 miles a day. Cati, I am glad to read that you able to practice your Japanese with the photographers at the shrine. Nicolas Gerst

Glad to hear you’ve arrived safely! Have fun!

Hi, Jack and friends-

I visited Japan 50 years ago when my husband was in the army stationed in Korea. I remember how awesome the shrines were and especially the little prayer papers tied to branches for ancestors.

Also, the cherry blossoms were blooming. Have a great time. Kate

I love all the pictures and the blogs to explain what is going on. Nicolas Gerst

We all now wish to visit Japan some day, but in the meantime we will enjoy hearing about your experiences. A current favorite of mine, Liam’s mother, is the peony garden.
