SAT

REGISTRATION

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is operated by College Board.  The SAT is designed to assess what a student is capable of learning.  The multiple-choice tests cover three skill areas: English, mathematics & reading. The optional Writing Test measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.

Students are encouraged to take the SAT during the 11th grade; however, many schools will not require the SAT.  Check with each university individually regarding application requirements.

MBTA is NOT a testing location for the SAT.

Interested students must create a College Board account (with a personal email address NOT their MBTA Gmail account), select the testing date/location and submit online payment to secure their spot.   Review the registration and MBTA's Checklist below for additional details.
