Tests

UNDERSTANDING  THE  DIFFERENCES

The SAT & ACT are two College Entrance Exams.  National test dates are set each year and students take the exam on a Saturday at a certified testing center, if not offered on MBTA's campus.

There are numerous centers located across the islands and students can select which center they prefer to test at.  Each test date has a regular and late registration deadline.  Registering late comes with an additional late fee.   All testing sites have limited seating and are on a first come, first serve basis.

Fee waivers are available to 11th and 12th graders who are eligible for  Free Reduced Lunch Program, TRIO Program or Upward Bound.  Contact the College Counselor for more information.

When registering for the SAT or ACT, students may send up to four score reports for FREE to colleges or universities.  Be sure to select the four choices at the time of registration.  Students will be CHARGED for the transmission of score reports to schools after the test date.

Remember MBTA’s CEEB school code is 120039.  Students must identify MBTA as their current school so scores may be added to their high school folder.

Students in the 11th and 12th grades who have limited financial resources may qualify for a fee waiver to be used towards testing fees for two (2) ACT and/or SAT exams.

To determine eligibility, parents must qualify for the Free Reduced Lunch Program.

If families have not already completed this form through the Department of Education, they may complete MBTA's online form found on our website, under Admission - Forms or click HERE to link directly.
