Created and shared by Leah Wilcox, teacher at Waverly Middle School, these standards are perfect to post in your classroom with I CAN statements for learning objectives!
This Google Sheet has a tab for each grade level. Once you make a copy, it is fully customizable to include columns for whatever you want to include in your curriculum mapping. Each grade level includes a column that is pre-filled with a dropdown of the 2022 NE State Math Standards for that grade.
The purpose of the spreadsheet is to provide a bridge between the NE State Standards and the ACT Standards because we know that students are learning skills necessary for the ACT throughout their math education - not just during their junior year. The sheet is organized by strand and provides teachers with some correlated ACT practice problems that they can turn into short benchmark assessments for students to build confidence.

Many schools are adopting High Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) that have been aligned to the Common Core State Standards. There are some differences between the 2022 NE State Standards and the Common Core that will affect the usability of those materials. This sheet has been designed to:
1. Identify the differences between the 2022 NE State Standards and Common Core for teachers and
2. Provide guidance for teachers on how to address those differences.
This sheet is meant to be a growing document - improving over time as teachers implement their HQIM and align their classroom instruction to the 2022 Nebraska State Standards. If there are resources that you find work well in your classroom with your students, please send them to amber.vlasnik@esu6.org to be added to this sheet for others!
