Operating Principles and Commitments
The Blue River Cohort was created in the spring of 2009 as an ESU 6 collaborative project. Dorchester, Exeter-Milligan, Friend, McCool Junction, and Shickley public schools created the cohort to better serve their students through collaborative efforts.

The cohort exists to improve educational practice among member schools
Collaboration provides educational and financial advantages
Collaboration increases capacity and expertise
Cohort activities benefit the schools collectively and individually
Schools must participate as full members
School specific initiatives that fall outside of the needs of member schools should be excluded from cohort activities.
