Pupils in S5 have one period per week of personal, social and health education (PSHE).

PSHE is an important part of each young person’s experience in Williamwood High School. The Pupil Support team have remodelled the PSHE programme with consistency and challenge at the heart of this restructuring. The course breakdown is available below, with the lessons designed to be age appropriate and engaging for each respective year group.

In S5 PSHE, pupils will learn the core aspects of PSHE, with a specific focus on developing skills that can support them in the future. MVP is a new course where young people will learn about preventing gender based violence. This course is delivered by S6 mentors and we hope that our current S5’s will go on to be our mentors of the future. We have also decided to begin the post-school destination process with the change of timetable in June. This is to provide young people with more time to research and investigate their next steps and to see what avenues they can take.
