Pupils in S4 have one period per week of personal, social and health education (PSHE).

PSHE is an important part of each young person’s experience in Williamwood High School. The Pupil Support team have remodelled the PSHE programme with consistency and challenge at the heart of this restructuring. The course breakdown is available on the school website, with the lessons designed to be age appropriate and engaging for each respective year group.

In S4 we cover a variety of topics including mindfulness, target setting, Relationships and Sexual Health, study skills, MVP (mentors in violence prevention), equalities, substance use and coping mechanisms. These are the key themes that our young people will be learning about during S4 PSHE with the goal that they can transfer their skills and knowledge from the curriculum and apply it to real world settings.
