Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

Accomplishments from Previous Week

● Made insole for final (Garrett/Miles)

○ Cut it smaller to more closely fit a shoe

● Made final prototype (Ho)

○ Insole is in a neoprene “pocket” to keep sand from getting stuck on it

● Puncture-tested final (Miles)

○ All layered materials were puncture proof

○ Neoprene seams are weak points

● Field-tested final (Jordan/Garrett)

● Swam with final design (Garrett):

○ Minimal drag, even less than previous designs

○ Easy to put on and secure during usage

○ Only noticeable while walking or wading, your brain forgets about it once you do any sort of activity

○ Comfortable, sole is barely noticeable and even less so in the water

○ Weight is minimal

○ As flexible as your ankle
