Creating Graphs
Connections:
Educators will explore ways to use data in an engineering experience. They will engineer an activity to allow students to determine criteria and constraints, collect data, design, and test to develop a claim that is supported by data.
Objective(s):
- Explore ways to represent data visually.
- Brainstorm ways to support students in representing data visually in their bite-size engineering experience.
When creating graphs, students must determine the X and Y axis, choose appropriate scales for the data on each axis and appropriately title and label the graph. In what ways will you help your students make accurate, well-labeled graphs?
