Advanced College Project (ACP) courses allow students to earn high school credit and college credit though Indiana University concurrently.  These Advanced courses are honors weighted, and because students receive transcripted credit for Spanish 200 through IU, there are additional steps needed to enroll: students must apply for acceptance into these courses, so please refer to the dual credit page of the course offering site for additional information.

In the Spanish 3H ACP course, students are once again immersed in the language and deepen their proficiency in all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through the exploration of thematic topics that are relevant to real-world situations and meaningful communication.  Additionally, students expand their understanding and appreciation of the Spanish-speaking world and its rich culture by making connections and comparisons between their local and global communities. Spanish is the primary language of the classroom.

*Please note: This course is meant for students who are self-motivated to learn a language, with established academic skills. If students are wondering about the rigor of this course as a Freshman, but would like to pursue it in future years, it is recommended that those students begin their High School language sequence in Level 2H and then take Level 3H-ACP Sophomore year. However, if students feel confident about their ability to pursue a university level course Freshman year in High School, they will be fully supported in their endeavors.
