Students in French 3 focus on communicative activities as a means of improving their proficiency in the three modes of communication: Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational. The course utilizes T'es Branché textbook. In French 3, students work towards an intermediate-low level of proficiency and strive to improve their ability to use the spoken language to communicate their thoughts, desires and needs. As the year progresses, students are exposed to an ever-increasing amount of authentic texts, videos and dialogues in an attempt to increase their proficiency in the language. The French 3 classes employ various written texts throughout the year, including news articles and short stories.
*Please note: In order to receive IU college credit in 4H-ACP, you will need to have taken French 3H-ACP. Please take this into consideration when selecting courses.
