Italian 3 Blended: #049B
Grades: 11-12
2.0 Credits: Full Year Course
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Italian 2 or 2 Honors
NCAA approved
Students in Italian 3 develop a higher degree of proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing in the target language and continue to demonstrate it in the three modes of communication (presentational, interpersonal, and interpretive). The basic text systematically reviews previously taught concepts and presents new structures, vocabulary and culture. In addition to the text, realia and authentic audiovisual material are consistently used to enhance and broaden the students ability to communicate in Italian. Technology enhances and intensifies the students’ listening and speaking ability in Italian.
This course also offers Blended Learning sections. Blended learning is an approach to learning that combines face-to-face and online learning experiences. There is a combination of student days in class and out of class. This flexible use of time allows the teacher to bring in small groups of students for targeted support and/or enrichment and it allows students to have more ownership over how, when and where they learn.
*Please note:
If students want to pursue college level credit, we highly encourage students to select Italian 3 Honors-ACP.
