Each year the Student Council has chosen one or more charities to support financially or help them in other ways. Not only have we aspired to help the people in Espoo International School, but also those outside of it. Actively helping people has given us new perspectives in life and an important purpose of helping each other.
This year, we have decided to support the International Federation of Red Cross. It is the world's largest humanitarian network that is guided by seven Fundamental Principles: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independance, Voluntary Service, Universatility, Unity.
We chose Red Cross because they support long-term development cooperation and the victims of disasters, conflicts or epidemics throughout the world. Their funds are also used in Finland to help families that have run into difficult situations due to a sudden accident.
→ Through their Disaster Relief Fund, we are able to direct your donation to certain area, country, disaster, conflict or a cause.
