There are two separate Afternoon Clubs for 1st and 2nd graders operating independently within the Opinmäki campus. One works with Olarin Koulu and the other with Espoo International School. They are both organised by HSIS Oy and report to Espoo City.

The club is open from 12:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

The daily schedule involves picking up the kids directly from school, followed by going outside to play. Sometimes we go to the forest, Angry Bird Park or another playground.

From around 1:30-2:30, we have snack followed by homework. After homework, we have free play, arts and crafts, dance, gymnastics, group games or watch a movie.
There is a set weekly schedule.
The main idea of Afternoon Club is to have a safe place to relax and have fun after school. We try to work alongside the school and help support the school’s curriculum but we are not teachers.
We do many group activities in the club and during free play. We encourage free play, as it helps promote how to develop friendships, socialization, along withy decision making and problem solving skills.

We can help to send children to other clubs and activities on the campus. Note: the Afternoon Club is not responsible for children while they are participating in other clubs.
What we don't do
What we don't do
Our instructors help children with homework and provide time for it to be completed, but we do not correct nor grade it. This is the job of the parents and the teachers.
We do not teach languages or other subjects.
We do not force children to participate in activities.

Part time: 12:00-15:00 Cost: 80€ a month
Full time: 12:00-17:00 Cost: 140€ a month
