EIS takes a strong stand against bullying of all kinds:
physical, emotional, psychological, verbal, social and economic.
We believe that all students have a right to a safe and healthy school environment free from bullying and harassment and we are committed to promoting mutual respect, tolerance and acceptance.
In order to help us achieve these goals, our school uses the methods and materials developed by KiVa Koulu, a Finnish bullying prevention programme (see the links at the bottom of the page for more information). KiVa Koulu focuses on both the prevention of bullying and the intervention into bullying situations.
Please note that there is a parents' guide as well (see below).

- Talk to your class teacher or another teacher that you feel comfortable talking to.
- Talk to your parents.
- Talk to Maija Jones, our student welfare officer (see the page called "Student Wellbeing").
- Do not hide the problem. Stand up for yourself and others.
- Do not worry about retaliation (revenge), because you will be taken care of.
- Drop a message in the red concerns box that can be found outside the nurse's office on the 2nd floor.
