In orthogonal drawing we use projection lines. Projection lines are very LIGHT greylead pencil lines that we use to guide our drawing.
Step 1: Decide which is the front, side and top view.
Step 2: Draw the front view in the bottom left corner
Step 3: Draw VERTICAL projection lines up from the corners
Step 4: Draw the top view 4cm above the front view.
Step 5: Draw a horizontal projection line from the top of the front view.
Draw a 45 degree line.
Step 6: Draw horizontal projection lines across from the top view. Stop at the 45 degree line.
Step 7: Draw vertical projection lines down from the 45 degree line.
Draw horizontal lines from the front view.
Step 8: Use the projection lines to draw the side view.
