Give an overview of what you are required to design and explain what the app will do. e.g. You are required to design an app for senior students at SWSC.......
The client for this design task is the SWSC Senior School Coordinator and School Council. In keeping with the school value, 'Community' and as the primary stakeholders, students will be heavily involved in design of the app. They will be the main point of contact; students will facilitate designer/client meetings and provide regular feedback throughout the design process.
The student population is a diverse group of young people from a range of backgrounds, both economic and cultural. While the VCE pathway is popular, many students also undertake alternative pathways such as VET and VCE Vocational Major. What other information can you include about the user (audience - age, gender, interests, socioeconomic, religion and culture)
The purpose of the app is to foster a sense of community and connection within the senior school student population. Explain what the app will do
The app will be used by the student population on their phones, both Apple and android.
The app should be accessible to a diverse range of users. The aesthetics considerations should be sympathetic the diverse community of the school.
The final design should be submitted as a lo-fi solution on a presentation board displaying static mock-ups of a landing page, home page and at least three other pages. An additional lo-fi solution could also be presented on a digital platform such as Adobe XO.
