List the seven Elements of Art, describe each with its different types, and illustrate them with drawings.

Draw different types of lines and label the types of lines (e.g., straight, wavy, zigzag, dashed, curved) in their sketchbooks. 

✅ Continuous Line Drawing – Draw an object without lifting your pencil from the paper. 

Describe the lines in this artwork. How has the artist used different lines, to create interest and mood in this artwork? 

Write a description of this art work. How has the artist used different lines, colours, shapes/forms, and balance to create interest and mood in this artwork?

Identify shape: "What is a shape? How would you define/describe it in your own words?"

                                       OR 

Write down two examples of geometric shapes and two examples off organic shapes you see around you.

Heading: Elements of Art (Value)

Shade a small value scale or simple object, and write a short sentence explanation of their technique. 

Example: "I created a smooth gradient by pressing lightly at the start and increasing pressure gradually."

• Look around the classroom and find an object that has a strong sense of form (e.g., a water bottle, chair, or laptop, eraser etc ).

• Quickly sketch the basic 3D form of the object in your Do Now Booklet.
