Back in the “olden days”, everything had to be drawn by hand to create a plan. The purpose of the plan was to tell the people making the item (in our case, a Phone Safe) what the correct sizes of all the parts are and how they all go together.

Creating an Account

Click on the link to the right to be directed to the OnShape website.
Click on the green button that says "for students".
Enter your details, ensure you use your real name and school email address.
Fill in the details on the next page. Copy and paste the schools URL where requested: https://jamison-h.schools.nsw.gov.au
Your graduation year is the year you will be in Year 12. For example, if you are in Year 7 in 2023 your graduation year is 2028.
When you have entered all of these details, you will be sent a confirmation email. Access your emails and follow the instructions.

Submitting your CAD model for marking...
To submit your work in OnShape, take a screenshot of your completed model and upload it to the Google Classroom Post. You can take a screenshot on Windows by pressing SHIFT + WINDOWS + S.
On Mac, you can take a screenshot by pressing SHIFT + COMMAND + 4.
Make sure your screenshot shows:
The completed model
The named parts on the left side of the screen
Your name at the top left side of the screen

- If you are working on a small screen, open the video in one tab and have the OnShape application open in another tab.
- Work through a small piece of the video at a time and do EXACTLY what the video says.
- If you make a mistake, use the UNDO function (ctrl + Z) in OnShape to go back. Go back to a part of the video where everything matches.
