Putney PS is the place you will never want to miss with our new areas and names guiding 2025 towards an extraordinary year.

Mrs Brooks, our principal, has worked tirelessly with the teachers to create our new class names, playground names and she has overseen the construction of our exceptional playground! In our playground we have 2 brand new cubby houses, the exciting new Bilby Burrow (which includes the Lego area) and the fairy garden.

You may ask who came up with the ideas for these incredible new things? Mrs Brooks held a survey for our class names with the teachers. “The majority of teachers wanted to have animal names, but with a theme running throughout the whole school”. 

Students, alongside Mrs Brooks and teachers, are enjoying these wonderful new additions with the new playground names, cubby house and Lego areas all decided by the Student Representative Council (SRC). Students are very happy and engaged in playing. Mrs Brooks and the other teachers have noticed a positive change, as there are less conflicts. 

These new things are very, very costly and Putney PS are so grateful to our donors and POOSH. In the Lego area the tables were bought by the school, but all the Lego was donated from the community, and older areas like the playground slide and new seats were funded by POOSH. 

Now, what comes next? Look into the eye of the crystal ball and you will see Putney’s great future with new areas and names making Putney the best place you could ever imagine. Putney Public School is helping our students live their best primary school life. Our new areas and names are a great start to our 2025 year and every single student is excited to see what comes next.
