Yandelora School is located in Narellan in Greater Western Sydney on traditional Dharawal land.
Through investigating Howard Arkley’s colourful airbrushed paintings, students from Yandelora School have created their own interpretation of his suburban house artworks.
Students used assorted material, paper offcuts and scraps found around the school and at home, the outline of a house found on the internet and an A3 overhead projector transparency to create their artworks.
Students also explored Rosalie Gascoigne’s artworks and decided to focus on her found road sign works.
The class discussed mass produced materials that could be utilised in place of street signs and chose to work with recycled packaging from chips and biscuits saved from their lunch boxes.
Congratulations to the following students of Years 7 to 12 from Yandelora School for their wonderful submissions:
Addison, Ameilia, Anastasija, Charlotte, Daniel, Isaiah, Jackson, Jake, Jiah, Jordan, Kaley, Kiera, Liam, Mikayla, Oliver, Owen, Patrik, Russell and Stephen.
