Carinya School is situated in Mortdale in southern Sydney on traditional Bedigal land.
Students from Carinya School created artworks inspired by found objects.
The first project entitled ‘Caught in the Net’ utilised the medium of collage and used paint, cast-off pieces of old puzzles and net to create this incredible piece.
The next work is a collage called ‘Happy Face’. The artwork represents people trying to be happy on their own.
The final sculpture, ‘My Dog’, is made with an old bottle decorated with paint, cardboard ears and eyes to look like a dog. We were told it also makes a good pot plant holder.
Congratulations to the following students of Years 8 and 11 from Carinya School for their wonderful submissions:
Ejay, Ren and Zac.
