Visual arts #CAPAexplosion

Are you ready to shine bright and make your mark?

We are encouraging all students to create an artwork using Supernova for their inspiration. It might be a star, the moon, the night sky or some crazy cosmic creation!

Be sure to hang your artwork in your front window, on your front door or in the front yard. You might also choose to hang your artworks on the school gate or in a local store window.

Together let's create a galaxy across NSW!

Take a walk around your neighbourhood and see how many Supernova artworks you can spy!

Lily and Willow from Kirrawee Public School have decorated their window.

Perhaps you will:

  • paint with watercolours or acrylic paints

  • draw, sketch

  • photograph the night sky

  • create a chalk drawing on a driveway

  • make a 3D star lantern

  • use nature to create artworks

  • the opportunities are only limited by your imagination!

You might also like to follow this tutorial to make your own washable window paint!

So ignite your creativity and share your performance videos or artworks on your school Facebook page with the #CAPAexplosion hashtag or have your teacher email to creativeclasses@det.nsw.edu.au by Friday 10 September. We look forward to showcasing a selection of submitted works as part of our live stream event!
