ENTERPRISE COMPUTING
2 units for each of Preliminary and HSC Board Developed Course
Course Description:
Enterprise Computing is the study of digital tools and processes, and the importance of data in enterprise information systems. The Enterprise Computing course provides students with the opportunity to develop and apply an understanding of enterprise computing systems in the safe and secure usage and storage of data. This is done by manipulating tools and resources while being aware of the social, ethical and legal implications. Students will use their project management skills to develop a major enterprise project.
This course:
Explores the capture, creation, transmission, storage, analysis, integration, presentation and sharing of interactive media files.
Enables students to learn about human-centric computing and networking infrastructure by exploring network architecture, resources and communication media.
Explores the impact of disruptive technologies on enterprise and social networks as well as the importance of personal and network security including cybersecurity.
Investigates security strategies used by an enterprise to manage the storage, communication and disposal of data and information.
Analyses, processes and presents data required to support the production of meaningful information using software tools commonly used in enterprises
Studies the design and evolution of intelligent systems and how they support people and real-world enterprises.
